1. Baylor’s incompetence on offense fails it

The lack of throwing the ball vertically throughout majority of the game and getting beat constantly along the offensive line was a killer for this team.

Charlie Brewer threw two interceptions, but could’ve had two more, if not for being out of bounds or a penalty calling the play back.

The explosiveness of Trestan Ebner was limited on Saturday, after a 270-yard, four-touchdown performance a week ago. He had just nine touches for 26 total yards on offense.

The longest pass play was the Josh Fleeks touchdown catch and the Bears only got one double digit yard run and that came from a Brewer scramble.

With a new system under Larry Fedora, fans had hopes of the offense being somewhat similar to the 2011-15 Baylor days. However, this was far from it.

The Bears will attempt to rebound after a bye week as Oklahoma State will come to Waco. For the Mountaineers, they will also have a bye week, followed by a contest with the Kansas Jayhawks.
