1. The SEC officially makes no sense

OK, so this isn’t strictly an Arkansas-related takeaway, but it does have something to do with the Razorbacks as they helped prove that the SEC makes zero sense this year.

A week ago, the SEC kicked off with Georgia trailing Arkansas at halftime before pulling away by 27 in the second half. Mississippi State took down LSU and looked like a serious contender in the SEC. What we thought we knew after those two games was officially crushed in Week 5 as the Razorbacks marched into Starkville and beat the No. 16 team in the nation.

Moreover, a Georgia team that looked bad last week turned things around and dominated an Auburn team that held off a tough ranked Kentucky team in the opener. And then Ole Miss turned around and beat Kentucky at Kroger Field in Week 5.

Alabama is Alabama and Florida’s offense — not defense this time around — has been carrying the Gators through two games.

Right now, the SEC is as confusing as any conference in college football outside of the Big 12.
