Winner: North Carolina (Up to No. 8)

It was not easy, but North Carolina football earned a much needed win over Boston College on the road. The Eagles were a two-point conversion away from tying the game, but the Tar Heels defense made a huge stop and came away with the win.

The offense for the Tar Heels is still sputtering a bit and committing way too many penalties, but what matters is that North Carolina is 2-0 and is ranked the highest they have been since 2015. Virginia Tech is next on the slate for North Carolina, as they hope to prove that they are the second best team in the ACC.

Winner: Oklahoma State (Up to No. 10)

It has been tough going for the Big 12 as a whole, but Oklahoma State represents the last hope for the conference to get in the playoff. While it was Kansas, Oklahoma State’s defense continued to look impressive and running back Chuba Hubbard returned to form with over 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

The Cowboys have a week off before returning to the field to take on Baylor. If the Cowboys can get quarterback Spencer Sanders back healthy and the defense keeps playing well, Oklahoma State could be a dangerous team down the stretch.
