3. Mac Jones, QB, Alabama

Mac Jones looked great in one of the more anticipated games of the weekend against Texas A&M. In fact, he threw for 435 yards and four touchdowns on a 20-for-27 day.

After not looking impressive the previous week against Missouri, though many people believe Nick Saban made the offense as bland as possible as to not show anything to Texas A&M and now Jones is back in Heisman conversations. He is currently leading the country in quarterback rating at 221.1.

Alabama is deservedly a national title favorite alongside Clemson and if Jones is able to lead the Tide to an undefeated season and a playoff berth, there’s a good chance he’ll be at the Heisman ceremony in New York.

Who could have seen this coming after the departure of the great Tua Tagovailoa?
