1. Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

Explosive is the word that I like to use when describing Jaylen Waddle. There are very few people on the planet who have the athleticism to be both quick and fast. Normally, the human body only allows for a person to pick one of those traits. Waddle is one of those very few people who can be both.

Waddle has the talent where he could be the player who wins the award this season. He’s having a phenomenal season so far. Waddle has 13 catches for 273 yards so far, is a weapon on reverse action and trick plays, as well as his usage as a punt returner. He’s finally emerged from the shadows of being Alabama’s fourth receiver, and into the spotlight of the starting role.

If I had to pick someone to win this award this year, Waddle would be the first player to come to mind. He’s a phenomenal talent that the NFL is already heavily intrigued by.
