The sixth week of the 2020 college football season will feature key rivalry games and the second top-10 matchup of the season.

The sixth week of the 2020 season comes with the biggest matchups yet. It’s been a wild season, outside of the threat of the novel coronavirus threatening to shut down the entire season. There has been the fall of two elite teams out of the playoff talk. Several more are expected to join them after this weekend of intense matchups.

This week, several games are considered rivalry games based on the long history between the teams. For the first time in a long time, the Red River Rivalry between the Oklahoma Sooners and the Texas Longhorns will not be one of the biggest games of the week. This comes after two consecutive losses from the Sooners to unranked Big 12 teams.

There will be four ranked versus ranked matchups including No. 7 Miami at No. 1 Clemson. The winner of that game will have a clear path to the ACC Championship Game.

Among some of the other highly-anticipated matchups are No. 2 Alabama led by head coach Nick Saban traveling to face one of his many assistants in Lane Kiffin as the Tide take on Ole Miss.

Both the No. 4 Florida Gators and No. 8 North Carolina Tar Heels are the teams that going to have a tough task this weekend as they will face No. 21 Texas A&M and No. 19 Virginia Tech, respectively.

This week, more contenders into the fold for the 2020 College Football Playoff.

Here are five bold predictions for week six of the 2020 season.
