3. Texas wins turnover battle

Rattler has thrown four interceptions in the last two games. Two of those interceptions have come on the final drive of games where they could have either tied the game or won it.

Texas’ defense should be hungry to create turnovers against a younger offense. Oklahoma’s young quarterback should produce big numbers, but forcing him into making big plays when his back is up against the wall is what Texas wants.

Looking at the perspective of Texas’ offense, the offense has turned the ball over three times in three games. Ehlinger has done a good job of protecting the football so far with the running backs only fumbling once this season.

This game has the potential to be a shootout which means whoever wins the turnover battle, will win the game. Four turnovers for Oklahoma against Kansas State cost them the game. A similar performance could work in the benefit of Texas.
