1. Collin Hill and Kevin Harris are a dangerous duo

A lot of the Gamecocks faithful were very upset with Will Muschamp and Mike Bobo’s decision to name fifth-year senior quarterback Collin Hill as the starting quarterback over Ryan Hilinski, but he is proving he deserves the starting spot.

On Saturday he completed 16-of-24 passes for 196 yards in addition to the two rushing touchdowns, and on the season he has 502 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and just one interception. Hill has the ability to read the opponents defensive line and adjust as necessary.

Kevin Harris has proven to be a dependable option for Hill when he’s unable to throw the ball to one of his receivers. As mentioned above, Harris took the ball 89-yards for not only his career-high touchdown rush, but also the the fourth longest touchdown rush in the school’s history. He has recorded 56 carries for 326 yards and four touchdowns in the first three games of the season.

With most teams targeting Shi Smith and Nick Muse not being as dependable in his catches as the former, Harris is a valuable asset to this offensive line.

The Gamecocks’ next three games are against ranked opponents and this team will have to keep making improvements, especially on the defensive line in order to cement anymore wins this season. They return home to Columbia to face the Auburn Tigers next week.
