2. Some new offensive superstars emerge for the Aggies

The Aggie defense, which will we discuss later, wasn’t great in this one. However, we got to see some offensive superstars finally emerge for the Aggies, outside of what Kellen Mond was able to put together which was impressive in its own right. He finished with 338 yards and three touchdowns on a 25-for-35 day. That is something that the Aggies will take any day of the week.

The offensive line also deserves some credit for the Aggies win as well. They made holes for the running backs and gave Mond the time he needed to throw.

We start though with running back Isaiah Spiller who finished with 174 yards and two touchdowns. He finally showed the world why he is earning more playing time despite Ainias Smith moving to that position. He will be playing all receiver positions as well as running back, but Spiller showed that he deserves some respect on his name.

Next star? Wide receiver Caleb Chapman who has battled injury throughout his career in Aggieland has finally gotten healthy — we hope because he did limp off the field after the touchdown he scored to tie the game at 38. He finished with nine catches for 151 yards and two touchdowns.

Final new star? Chase Lane. Yes, I know all of you want to see Jalen Wydermeyer’s name here, but we are expecting the Aggie tight end to do great things. It was Lane who really pleasantly surprised me. He had nine catches for 100 yards and a touchdown.
