SEC Football Power Rankings, Week 7: LSU in free fall, Texas A&M on rise

Now, let me tell you this. There is a big gap between the top two and No. 3, but the Aggies move up to the third spot after taking down previous No. 2 (in my power rankings) Florida. It was an upset that would define an era to date for Jimbo Fisher and one that changes a season for the Aggies. Now they face off against a Mississippi State team that isn’t doing well, and that’s putting it mildly. Could the Aggies end up in that second spot in the SEC West?
The Crimson Tide fall a spot after battling with the Ole Miss Rebels in a shootout of sorts. It showed us that the Alabama defense has some soft spots and that the Ole Miss Rebels have an offense that can matchup with anybody. Now, the real work begins for Alabama as they face off against Georgia this week to really decide the top spot in these rankings.
The Bulldogs of Georgia are up two spots to the top spot in the conference after winning 44-21 against a Tennessee team that many thought may just be the real deal. After proving that they were in fact not all that, Georgia now moves on to face Alabama in what may be a preview of the SEC championship. Get excited for that matchup, because it’ll be a good one.
