Rarely do we see a running back become a serious Heisman contender but I couldn’t leave Najee Harris off this week’s watch list. He’s fresh off a 206-yard, five-touchdown performance against Ole Miss.

In three games, Harris has 10 rushing touchdowns, the most in the country. He wasn’t dominant in his first two games, only rushing for 141 yards but couldn’t be stopped last week. I’d bet that he puts up more box scores like he did against Ole Miss.

Harris is clearly a major part of this Alabama offense that looks like it could be special.

The last running back to win the Heisman was Alabama’s Derrick Henry in 2015; Harris could join Henry and Mark Ingram as the only Alabama Heisman Trophy winners.
