10. Virginia Cavaliers (1-2, 1-2)

The Virginia Cavaliers have had their share of adversity this season. First, the start of their season was delayed due to COVID-19 concerns. The Cavaliers finally get on the field and many of the offseason questions were answered. Virginia plays Clemson and what happened to them happens to everyone who plays Clemson.

This past weekend Virginia played North Carolina State and their starting quarterback Brennan Armstrong leaves the game with a concussion. Lindell Stone played well throwing for 240 yards and three touchdowns though it took him 54 pass attempts. This game was their worst of the season so far.

Virginia turned the ball over four times including three interceptions. Issues with run blocking crept up again as the Cavaliers ran for only 82 yards for a 2.9 yards per carry average. The defense could not keep the Wolfpack out of the end zone either.

This week the V-men get Wake Forest. If the last two weeks have been any indication for both teams, this one is sure to be a track meet. The question for Virginia is can the keep the turnovers down and score without Armstrong at quarterback.
