Houston hosts BYU football in a huge Week 7 clash in between non-conference foes. Will the Cougars pull off another big win?

BYU is hitting the road fresh off a tough battle against UTSA a week ago. The Cougars were expecting a runaway victory, but the Roadrunners had other plans, keeping this close and nearly pulling off the upset.

The Cougars are now moving forward looking to put that near-upset behind them with a road battle against Houston on Friday night.

This one, however, has an upset feel. The battle of the Cougars in Houston will be one of the most intriguing matchups of the week and it’s only fitting that it kicks off the weekend. We already saw No. 21 Louisiana go down via upset on Wednesday against Coastal Carolina so will this be the second upset in three days?

Let’s get bold ahead of Friday’s non-conference battle.

3. BYU forces four turnovers

Against Houston, BYU is going to need to take advantage of the mistakes of Dana Holgorsen’s team.

And Houston is prone to turnovers as it showed in the first game of the season against Tulane when Clayton Tune threw a couple of interceptions against a lackluster defense. BYU’s defense is much better than Tulane’s.

Also, you have to realize that Houston is one of the rustiest teams in the country, having played just one game this season because of COVID-19-related postponements.

BYU is going to take advantage of a turnover-prone team and force four turnovers, making for a long night for the Houston offense.
