2. Matt Corral (and the entire offense) has taken care of the ball

One concern when a team throws the ball as often as Ole Miss is the potential for turnovers. Luckily for the Rebels, Matt Corral has been exceptional at taking care of the football, throwing just one interception in his three games.

Pro Football Focus has Corral in their top-five quarterbacks this season, in part to his ability to limit turnovers.

Aside from the lone interception, Ole Miss has not turned the ball over this season.

Last season, which ended in a disappointing 4-8 record, the Rebels threw 10 interceptions and lost nine fumbles. It’s no secret that ball security is one of the keys to a successful season, and Lane Kiffin is clearly stressing that fact in this short sample.

Corral is also exceptional at putting the ball into his receiver’s hands, ranking third in the nation with a 76 percent completion rate. Here is an example of his ability to improvise and find the open receiver.
