2. Arkansas’ offense wasn’t spectacular but balanced and efficient

The first half offensive stats don’t jump out for the Razorbacks but they got the job done by dominating time of possession and having a good balance between their run and pass games.

Arkansas quarterback Feleipe Franks didn’t throw a touchdown or run for one in the first half but he kept getting first downs throwing for 159 yards in the first half with zero turnovers. Three different Razorbacks backs ran for 20 or more yards in the first half keeping the Rebels’ run defense off balance. Arkansas senior running back Rakeem Boyd ran one in for a touchdown and his teammate wide receiver Trelon Burks had over 100 yards total offense on the day.

Even though the Razorback offense had a disappointing third-quarter performance, committing two turnovers and no points, the Razorbacks played well overall for the other three quarters through their balanced attack on offense.

Franks was not great by any stretch of the imagination but he threw for over 200 yards and was an efficient game clock manager helping the Razorbacks move the ball.

Arkansas had a good, efficient drive in the fourth quarter that resulted in a seven-yard touchdown pass to Burks from Franks. The offense once again was not great in the fourth quarter but they did enough to secure the victory by keeping the Ole Miss offense off of the field.

After the Rebels scored their third touchdown of the game, Franks and the Razorback offense ate up the clock just enough to give Arkansas its second win of the season.
