postponed at Tulsa. 830. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 3-0. Cincinnati Bearcats. 7. player

A week after Tulsa knocked UCF out of the AP Top 25, Cincinnati was forced to postpone its trip to Oklahoma to face the Golden Hurricane after a COVID-19 outbreak on campus. While not linked specifically to the football team, Luke Fickell and the program opted to err on the side of caution. Though they are now idle in Week 7, the Bearcats should remain in the top 10 of the polls heading into Week 8 play.

The Bearcats are one of just two undefeated teams remaining in the American Athletic Conference. Of course, this weekend’s postponement against Tulsa means that Cincinnati hasn’t played since their 28-7 win over South Florida on the first Saturday of October. Defense has marked the AAC frontrunner’s success so far, with the Bearcats allowing only 12.3 points per game through their first three wins.

Tulsa will now have to wait until December 5 to host Cincinnati. Fickell and his staff now turn their attention to a huge showdown in Week 8, as they are due to travel to Dallas to face SMU in a showdown between the last two undefeated AAC teams. Whether that game will be played on schedule, though, depends on the state of public health at the Cincinnati campus.
