Arkansas football picked up a big win over Ole Miss on Saturday and it proved that the Razorbacks might just be close to SEC relevance.

Last week, Arkansas suffered one of the most heartbreaking losses a team could even imagine, losing on an officiating gaffe which costed the Razorbacks a win at No. 15 Auburn.

Many, including myself, expected the Razorbacks to bounce back against Ole Miss and they did just that with a 33-21 win. They are now 2-2 on the year but should be 3-1 and have held a lead in all but one game. They mounted a 20-0 lead over Ole Miss at the half on Saturday before the Rebels stormed back to make things interesting.

In the end, Arkansas picked up a big win thanks to Feleipe Franks’ calm demeanor and Matt Corral becoming a turnover machine.

Here are my biggest hot takes from Arkansas’ big win over Ole Miss.

3. Treylon Burks can be one of the best receivers in the SEC

There’s a reason Treylon Burks was so highly touted in the 2019 recruiting class. He was ranked the No. 103 prospect in the country, according to the composite, and after a strong freshman season in which he had just under 500 yards, he has gotten off to a great start to 2020.

Burks had 100-plus receiving yards in the opener against Georgia but had a step back in the following week against Mississippi State with one catch for 10 yards but it’s because he was knocked out of the game with an injury. He missed the following week against Auburn. He returned against Ole Miss and had a huge game.

The sophomore receiver finished with a career performance, catching 11 passes for 137 yards and his second career touchdown.

Natural talent, strong hands and a strong frame, Burks has the potential to be one of the best receivers in the SEC and he’s proving it.
