2. Jordan Travis is one tough dude

No one expected Jordan Travis to be leading Florida State’s offense five games into the 2020 season, but here we are.

After James Blackman struggled mightily and Chubba Purdy suffered an injury, it was Travis who was given the keys to the offense and he’s been getting better each week. He’s not exactly what you’d call a polished passer, but he can be a home-run threat with his legs.

Against the Tar Heels, he passed for 191 yards and a touchdown with an interception as well, completing 8-of-19 passes. He isn’t trusted much to throw the ball, but he can still get enough done through the air to keep defenses honest — his accuracy is not there obviously.

But we saw Travis not only pass for nearly 200 yards, but he did so without his star receiver Tamorrion Terry. Moreover, he rushed for 107 yards and two scores and took hit after hit.

It was obvious this dude was hurting in the fourth quarter as his arm looked limp, but he continued to run the ball and melt the clock, leading to an upset win.

You have to love this kid’s effort.
