2. The offense is consistently improving

Collin Hill can consistently count on two players on his offensive line, Shi Smith for receptions and Kevin Harris to rush the ball. Harris has been a breakout star in the Gamecocks’ offensive line, especially with Smith a consistent target for opposing teams.

In Saturday’s game, Harris rushed the ball 25 times for 83 yards, and two of the Gamecocks four touchdowns. Harris also posted two receptions for 21 yards, giving him over 100 scrimmage yards for the game.

Smith recorded eight receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown catch and Hill put the other touchdown on the books when he took the ball in for a one-yard rushing score.

Deshaun Fenwick posted 12 receptions for 68 yards, which is double what he put on the books in the first three games of the season.

Hill recorded 15-of-24 attempts for 144 yards, one receiving touchdown, one rushing touchdown and one interception. Of the 15 pass attempts, Hill connected with six players total, including Harris and Smith. The team as a whole is doing a much better job of catching the ball and hanging on to it.
