7. TCU Horned Frogs (1-2, 1-2)

TCU has had a tough go early in the 2020 season, losing to Iowa State and Kansas State while notching a win against Texas. Their losses are against good teams, but they’re still losses. With Oklahoma up next on their schedule, the Horned Frogs will have a chance to right the ship.

6. Texas Longhorns (2-2, 1-2)

The Longhorns posted scores of 59 and 63 in their first two games (both wins) before allowing 33 and 53 to TCU and Oklahoma in consecutive losses. Is this just who Texas is now? A program that can beat lower-level teams but cant get over the hump against equal opponents? They’ll face Baylor next in a must-win game for Tom Herman and the Longhorn boosters.

5. Oklahoma Sooners (2-2, 1-2)

Much like TCU, the Sooners’ lost games to Iowa State and Kansas State. They took care of Texas, though, boosting program and fan morale, but that isn’t enough. Oklahoma needs to win at TCU — in blowout fashion — to get a little bit of their respect back.

4. West Virginia Mountaineers (3-1, 2-1)

Things didn’t look pretty for the Mountaineers early in Saturday’s contest with the Jayhawks, but their defense — ranked No. 1 in the country — continued giving their offense opportunities that they eventually capitalized on. If this team ever figures out that running the ball is their best option on offense, the sky is the limit. And by sky, I mean Big 12 title hopes.
