SEC Football Power Rankings, Week 8: Arkansas, South Carolina rising

After quite an interesting weekend of SEC football, we had a bit of a shakeup in the power rankings. Where did your favorite team end up?
Were you busy this past weekend? Did you miss any of the action? Don’t worry. We’ve got the recap ready to go for you right here, starting with that morning slate.
In a shocker of sorts and for the first time since 1933, South Carolina took down then ranked No. 15 Auburn, behind three interceptions of Bo Nix. To add to the shock value, another three interceptions won Kentucky the game over Tennessee in Knoxville for the first time since 1984.
The theme of the day seemed to be interceptions as Arkansas grabbed six off Matt Corral at the start of the afternoon slate — three by freshman walk-on Hudson Clark — to knock off the Ole Miss Rebels 33-21. A strong defensive front led six sacks, and an even stronger offensive line and a reliable running game led Texas A&M past Mississippi State 28-14.
In the nightcap, Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith led the Tide past Georgia 41-24. The Bulldogs hung around early, but it wasn’t enough to be able to shut down one or two parts of the Alabama offense, because they just have too many weapons to count.
There are only four games in the upcoming week in the SEC, so be sure to tune in on all the action. To start in the morning slot, Auburn takes on Ole Miss. Alabama heads to Tennessee in the CBS Game of the Week and Kentucky heads to Missouri in the other afternoon matchup.
In the nightcap, LSU is back in action, taking on South Carolina who is fresh off an upset and feeling hungry.
