3. Ohio State Buckeyes (0-0)

It is finally game week for the Big Ten and fifth-ranked Ohio State. Starting so late into the 2020 season will put the conference at a disadvantage for contending for the College Football Playoff.

The Buckeyes are currently the most talented team in the conference, however.

Justin Fields is looking to turn his potential last season into a Heisman Trophy and a national title. The Buckeyes’ talent on offense with Fields and their stout line will help them become one of the most efficient scoring offenses in the nation.

Defensively, they quickly reload every year with NFL talent.

On Saturday, the Buckeyes will host Nebraska which has yet to make a big step up the ladder in the Big Ten under head coach Scott Frost. The Cornhuskers are looking to start Adrian Martinez at quarterback after beating out a rising Luke McCaffrey.

The Buckeyes are going into this game against the Cornhuskers as 16-point favorites. This is the third-highest spread of a top 25 team just behind No. 1 Clemson and No. 12 BYU.

Ohio State will need to win every game it plays in 2020 as it will have fewer games than the ACC, SEC and Big 12. The Buckeyes will have to dominate as the Tigers and Tide are doing just that. Ohio State might be the only team that has been given a preseason chance to go to the College Football Playoff from the Big Ten, but they should expect heavy resistance.
