Ohio State football has won three straight Big Ten championships. The Buckeyes are the odds on favorite to win the title again in 2020.

This is Ohio State’s conference and every other team is just living in it. That at least seems to be the case as the Buckeyes prepare to embark on another season that could end in their fourth straight Big Ten championship.

Ohio State is coming off a year that saw them go 13-1 with a conference title. Despite a loss to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl Playoff Semifinal, the team did not miss a beat in the transition from Urban Meyer to Ryan Day as head coach. The offense ranked fourth overall in the nation and the Buckeyes had the top defense in the nation.

Now what will Buckeyes do in Day’s second year? The talent is still coming in fast and furious. Day signed a 2020 class that ranked fifth overall per 247Sports and both classes in the two previous years ranked in the top 15. With all the production Ohio State will need to replace this season, especially on defense, it is now time to see what they have in the pipeline and if Day can continue building off Meyer’s success.

There may be more questions than answers and the team may be a step behind the 2019 edition. However this is the Buckeyes are always going to be in the national conversation. As the season progresses, the Buckeyes may solidify and get better. Let’s preview both sides of the ball for the Buckeyes and take a look at their schedule.
