4. (3) Notre Dame at Pittsburgh

After a lackluster win over a bad Louisville team, Notre Dame is hoping to regroup and put together a game that lives up to their lofty ranking and the Irish look like capable challengers to Clemson.

Notre Dame’s passing game has yet to take off this season and if they can’t get it going through the air on a Pitt defense that allows a lot of big plays through the air. It’s uncertain whether Pittsburgh will have quarterback Kenny Pickett back for this game and that could make the difference on if the Panthers can pull the upset.

This game has playoff implications due to the possibility of the ACC getting two teams in and for that to happen, Notre Dame needs to look much sharper than they have in recent weeks.

Pittsburgh is no slouch when healthy and will command Notre Dame’s full attention. With three weeks until they play Clemson, it is time for the Fighting Irish to be contender or be shown to be a pretender.
