1. (17) Iowa State at (6) Oklahoma State

The game with the most playoff implications will be in the conference that has the most dire of playoff hopes. Oklahoma State and Iowa State will face off in Stillwater to see who is the leader in the Big 12 and the favorite to win the conference.

Oklahoma State will be getting back quarterback Spencer Sanders and he will look to carry the Cowboys’ offense to the lofty goals that they had in the preseason.

The Cowboys’ defense has been excellent, but Iowa State and quarterback Brock Purdy will present a whole new challenge.

The Big 12 has been largely dismissed from the playoff race due to Oklahoma and Texas being out of the picture, but don’t completely count out the winner of this game. The winner will have all of the momentum and should be considered a challenger to take the conference and possibly make the playoff.

This is a high-stakes matchup that has the most playoff implication in Week 8.
