3. Clemson’s sluggish offense

The Clemson Tigers had a pedestrian — for Clemson — 455 yards of offense. The offense had little rhythm most of the game.

Running back Travis Etienne did not have a great game, rushing for only 86 yards, but he did have three touchdowns. Trevor Lawrence threw his second interception in as many weeks.

The Clemson offense has issues getting out of their own way most of the afternoon. The wide receivers left some passes on the turf as well. It stands to reason that even Clemson will have an off game; this was their day to be a bit off. However, the Tigers offense got on track, and they responded in the second half outscoring the Orange 20-7.

Offense coordinator Tony Elliot and head coach Dabo Swinney have a lot of tape to coach up the Tigers this week before their game against the Boston College Eagles.
