College Football 2020: 5 games with serious playoff implications in Week 9
3. Memphis at No. 7 Cincinnati
Cincinnati had one of the most impressive performances last week, beating SMU and laying claim that they are the best team in the AAC and in the Group of Five. The Bearcats were impressive and look to continue that with Memphis coming to town on Saturday.

The Bearcats have an elite defense, particularly in the secondary, and they will be challenged by the Memphis Tigers offense and quarterback Brady White. Memphis lost to SMU earlier in the year, but they have followed that up by beating UCF in a shootout and beating Temple last week.
Memphis has the offense that is capable of challenging the Bearcats’ defense.
This game has playoff implications because while they are slim, Cincinnati has hopes of getting to the final four. They are a couple of upsets away from being right there in the mix for a possible playoff spot.
If the Bearcats can keep looking impressive like they were last week, then they just might have a chance to make a run.
