3. Cincinnati (vs. Memphis)

Our own Dan Morrison covered this game along with other potential Group of Five upsets but it’s worth talking about again.

Cincinnati is now the class of the AAC given the pounding they gave SMU last week. 3-1 Memphis might have something to say about that.

It’ll be interesting to see how Cincinnati’s momentum from last week’s win carries over. Can they keep the high level of play going? Or will they suffer a letdown after such a huge emotional win?

The Bearcats can’t afford to play down against Memphis. The Tigers have a high powered offense averaging 38 points per game, but it may not matter much against a stout Cincinnati defense.

If Memphis is going to win, their defense is the key. The Tigers will have to have to force turnovers like the three they forced in last year’s victory. The best defense might just be controlling the ball and limiting the time Cincinnati has to do some damage.
