2. Oklahoma State (vs. Texas)

Even if Texas pulls the upset, it won’t be “back”.

The Big 12 has been crazy this year and the only team that hasn’t fallen victim is Oklahoma State. Part of that is because the Cowboys have only played one solid team in Iowa State, which was a three-point win.

Texas was a popular pick to make the conference championship game and to make it there, this is a game they have to win. The Longhorn offense is more than capable of outscoring what’s been a disappointing Oklahoma State offense. The Texas defense played its best game of the season last week and will need to continue this week to keep Oklahoma State from exploding.

Texas might have a hard time running, but Sam Ehlinger is going to be the difference. The team will go as he goes. If he has a clean pocket and is given the time to find his receivers, he should carve up the Cowboy defense. If that happens, the Big 12’s playoff hopes could be done.
