2. Dillon Gabriel will throw for 500 yards

In the past two weeks Dillon Gabriel has thrown for 1,023 yards and 10 touchdowns in UCF’s last two games. His 2,178 yards and 19 touchdowns is the most over a five-game stretch since Patrick Mahomes did it at Texas Tech in 2016, and he’s the third player in the last two seasons to have back-to-back games of at least 400 yards and five touchdowns.

The other two were Joe Burrow and Jared Goff.

And the sophomore sensation has shown no signs of slowing down.

Houston is coming off a few injuries in their secondary, and even with the probability of those injuries returning to action this week, they likely won’t be ready for Gabriel and UCF’s aerial assault. Add to that the likelihood of a shootout, and Gabriel will be letting loose well into the fourth quarter.

It also doesn’t hurt that Marlon Williams and Jaylon Robinson are first and fifth, respectively, in the nation as receivers, either.
