1. The impact of missing Trevor Lawrence

Just want to start this off by saying we all hope Trevor Lawrence and everybody else across the world who is dealing with the novel coronavirus is doing OK and recovering well. Taking it back to football, Clemson survived today by the skin of their teeth without the future No. 1 pick.

This is a noticeably different team without Lawrence on the field. This was the first game since November 10, 2018, in which Clemson only scored one touchdown in the first half. They still have a boatload of talent, but Lawrence is the X-factor that takes them from a great team to the best.

We now look forward to next week which happens to be the biggest game of the season in the ACC. Clemson vs Notre Dame is a primetime showdown with major playoff implications.

Dabo Swinney announced after the game that Lawrence would miss the Notre Dame game which may just be the worst possible news for the Tigers.

DJ Uiagalelei was great today, but asking a freshman to play well in a road game that could determine a playoff spot is a tall task. If the Tigers were to get Lawrence back, I believe they would handle Notre Dame and continue to roll through the ACC. But without him, anything is possible.
