College football’s Week 10 AP Poll is out and it features some teams that have managed to find a way back into the poll and some new dropouts.

The Week 10 AP Top 25 had a lot of movement in the middle and that was because of some results that both likely and unlikely.

Most of the country thought that Penn State did not stand much of a chance against Ohio State, but it is nonetheless still kind of shocking to see a team that talented be 0-2 to start their season.

Oklahoma State outplayed Texas in nearly every facet of the game on Saturday except for turnovers, which caused an upset by the Longhorns and put the Cowboys and the Big 12’s playoff hopes on life support. A one loss Oklahoma State still has a chance, but they need to regroup quickly.

A pair of unlikely results resulted in one team making their way back into the AP Top 25 and it resulted in one team on their way out. Auburn dominated LSU from the opening snap en route to their largest win in the series 48-11. It might just be LSU’s defense, but Bo Nix looked the best he has all season and if he can keep up that level of play, Auburn still has key games against Texas A&M and Alabama still to come and there could be an opportunity for the upset.

North Carolina was a team thought by some (including yours truly) to be a dark-horse playoff contender for this season. That dream is dead gone after the Tar Heels were shocked by Virginia on Saturday, ending what faint playoff hopes they had and making a run to the ACC title game that much harder. There is still an opportunity for the Tar Heels with games against Notre Dame and Miami still to come however.

Here are the winners and losers from the latest AP Top 25.
