Notre Dame football is heading into the month of November with some momentum and a chance to make a playoff push.

Six games into the 2020 season, Notre Dame is in a prime position to make a statement for the College Football Playoff. The Irish need to take care of business against the ACC’s premier team in Week 10 (Clemson) while winning out which are both entirely possible.

The month of November is an important one for the Irish with three games on the schedule with Clemson at home and on the road against Boston College and North Carolina.

Notre Dame could go unbeaten and take control in the ACC standings and the playoff race but what do we see happening in November?

3. Jordan Johnson becomes No. 1 receiver

I’ve stated multiple times that I believe Notre Dame will be in trouble if it doesn’t find a go-to No. 1 receiver and with Braden Lenzy out 2-4 weeks, you have to look at the roster and realize one kid stands out among the rest of the receivers in terms of talent: Jordan Johnson.

Johnson was a five-star recruit coming out of high school and one of the best receivers in the nation coming out of Missouri. The hype surrounding him has been unreal.

But he hasn’t gotten his shot just yet.

That’s going to change in November as he steps up in place of Lenzy and makes a name for himself. He’ll live up to that recruiting hype and he may even had a 100-yard game or two in the month to show he’s capable of being WR1 for the Irish.

This is extremely bold, maybe crazy, but this would be best-case scenario for the Irish.
