College Football Rankings 2020: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 11
By Zach Bigalke
Indiana romped to a 38-21 victory over No. 23 Michigan. With the rout the Hoosiers remained undefeated, picking up their third win of the year and keeping pace with Ohio State in the Big Ten East race. The win will push Tom Allen’s team into the top 10 in this week’s AP Top 25, positioning the Hoosiers as a legitimate challenger in the conference and even a dark-horse candidate for College Football Playoff consideration.
Michael Penix Jr. racked up 254 yards and three passing scores in just the first two quarters, and he finished 30-of-50 for 342 yards and those three scores by the end of the game. Ty Fryfogle stood out at receiver as the senior hauled in seven catches for 142 yards and one touchdown. The Indiana defense did its part as they manhandled Michigan in Bloomington, holding the Wolverines to just 13 rushing yards and forcing a pair of Joe Milton interceptions.
With wins over Penn State and Michigan already locked in, Indiana gains confidence with each passing week. Back-to-back road games over the next few weeks will make or break the season for the Hoosiers. They take on Michigan State in East Lansing in Week 11, and then follow that up with a crucial showdown over Ohio State on November 21 that increasingly looks like it will determine the division title this year.
