Florida Football: 3 takeaways from offensive onslaught of No. 5 Georgia

1. Kadarius Toney was taken out of this game

In a game where Georgia could not stop Kyle Pitts and Dameon Pierce, they were at least able to keep one playmaker in check. Through Kyle Trask’s 341 passing yards in the first half, Toney had six yards on four receptions. That stat alone makes Trask’s performance even more impressive, in that he was throwing to a multitude of guys and still had a ton of success.

Only Alabama has been able to make Georgia’s secondary look well below average up to this point. This game puts Kyle Trask into legitimate Heisman talks. There is still much more of the season and if they make the SEC title game, will more than likely have to go through Alabama.

Although many players made plays, Toney getting open in a game against a still talented LSU team and a potential game with Alabama needs to be a priority.
