3. Good Brock Purdy/Bad Purdy was in full effect

What looked like a disastrous performance, ended up being one of Brock Purdy’s best halves of the season. Purdy gave Baylor plenty of opportunities with turning the ball over. When he limited that however, he looked like the Brock Purdy we’ve expected coming into the season.

Brock Purdy has had some questionable moments, including an awful interception against TCU. The same could be said in the first half with his three interceptions. However, the second half Purdy, notably with this beautiful throw to Charlie Kolar says otherwise.

Over the past few years, Purdy has struggled in October, not only individually, but as a team. A second half performance like this however, can boost some morale and keep Iowa State at the top of the Big 12.

Baylor will stay on the road as they square off with Texas Tech. For Iowa State, they will stay at home as they face a gutsy Kansas State squad.
