1. Teams trending in different directions

Michigan is now in a pretty bad spot for the remainder of the 2020 season. They are 1-2 with games against Wisconsin and Ohio State still left to go.

Conference titles and playoff dreams were shattered today, but there is still a lot of season to go. They need to keep building up Joe Milton, as there is still potential with him going forward due to his size and athletic ability.

Jim Harbaugh has done a great job of building this program back up since arriving in 2015. However, during his tenure they have yet to appear in a conference championship and consistently struggle with rivalry games. A bad season will only raise more questions about his coaching status going forward whether that is fair or not.

For Indiana, this program continues to raise their profile game after game. Tom Allen is now 21-20 overall as head coach and 11-5 in his last 16 games. They are a fantastic story and seem to have a group of guys who love playing for their coach. Don’t let me tell you, they can do it themselves.

But going forward, they have two monster games against the best the Big Ten has to offer. They will be on the road for three of their next four games with those games being against: Michigan State, Ohio State and Wisconsin. It is an uphill battle to climb, but so was beating Penn State and Michigan.

Indiana has a lot of momentum and confidence in what they are building as a program. If any team is to go on a crazy run and shift balance in the Big Ten, why not them?
