No. 7 Texas A&M football has to keep winning big to contend for the College Football Playoff as it will face South Carolina on the road.

This far into the 2020 season, there are many legitimate contenders for the College Football Playoff. With so many teams still in contention and others joining, the teams currently in contention will need big wins and pass the eye test.

The No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies (4-1) are among some of those teams needing to stay solid throughout the remaining season for a potential playoff spot. After a rough two-game stretch to start the season with a close win over Vanderbilt and a tough loss to No. 2 Alabama, the Aggies are on a three-game winning streak against an impressive slate of opponents.

South Carolina (2-3), on the other hand, has been through a significant up-and-down 2020 season. The Gamecocks had a close loss at home to Tennessee followed by two big wins over Vanderbilt and No. 24 Auburn. Finally, the Gamecocks suffered an embarrassing 52-24 loss to the LSU Tigers two weeks ago.

This Saturday, the Aggies will be traveling to Columbia, S.C., to take on the Gamecocks to continue their potential run for the College Football Playoff. The Aggies and the Gamecocks have met a total of six times ever since the Aggies joined the SEC in 2012. Texas A&M has won all six of them as they look to continue the streak as it’s a 10-point favorite over South Carolina.

This will be a big game for both teams as the Aggies need the big wins and the Gamecocks need a win to have some positive momentum that could save head coach Will Muschamp’s job.

Here are three bold predictions for the game.
