Texas A&M Football: 3 bold predictions vs. South Carolina in Week 10
3. Kellen Mond will have 500 total yards on offense
In four years under Kellen Mond, the Aggies have been on the brink of an explosive, high-caliber offense. This season, he has taken his performance to a whole new level of production.
In five games, Mond has passed for 1,244 yards, 12 touchdowns, only two interceptions and has a quarterback rating of 154.5. He has yet to get some solid runs so far this season as there is more of a need to keep Mond in the pocket.
The senior has thrown three touchdown passes in three games this season. He was solid and efficient in the 42-31 win against Arkansas last week as he threw for 260 yards and three touchdowns on 21-of-26 passing.
Mond has the potential to have his biggest game of the season against a Gamecocks’ defense that ranks 65th in the nation in points allowed per game (30) and 70th in passing yards allowed per game (236.8).
The Aggies have some solid momentum on the offensive side of the ball with Mond becoming a much more consistent playmaker.
South Carolina’s defense has a tough time stopping aerial attacks. Two weeks ago against LSU, the Gamecocks allowed T.J. Finely to pass for 265 yards, two touchdowns on 17-of-21 completions. Mond has the consistency and productivity value to have a huge game against this weak defense.
