2. Feleipe Franks turned this program around

We have to give credit where credit is due and praise Sam Pittman for changing the culture in Fayetteville after a losing one was mounting during the latter years of Bret Bielema and through Chad Morris. The losing culture has been smashed as the Razorbacks now expect to be in every game.

Pittman should be praised for that, but if he didn’t have a senior leader at quarterback like Feleipe Franks, this team would not be nearly as good as it is.

Sure, there might be quarterbacks on the roster who could put up the numbers that Franks has, but he’s been that calming presence under center and he rarely makes mistakes. He doesn’t let the team get too high or too low in pressure-packed situations and the guys look up to him. He’s the main reason why Arkansas has turned things around this season.

Franks had another solid game, going 18-for-24 with 215 yards and three touchdowns and he didn’t panic when down 13-0 in the third quarter. He led the team to three third-quarter touchdowns and a comeback win.

This team isn’t nearly as good as it is without him under center.
