Boise State football is hoping to bounce back on Thursday night against Colorado State but will the Broncos be healthy enough?

Following a blowout loss to BYU last weekend, Boise State is a team searching for answers. The Broncos were embarrassed on their own field 51-17 but that was without starting quarterback Hank Bachmeier, backup Jack Sears (who was injured early in the game) and also George Holani.

It’s time for Boise State to show that the 34-point loss to a top-10 BYU team was nothing more than a bad outing and an outlier.

Colorado State comes to town with a 1-1 record with a loss to Fresno State and a big win over Wyoming. This might be the perfect opportunity for Boise State to get back on track in a Thursday night battle.

Let’s get bold ahead of Thursday’s matchup.

3. Boise has a 100-yard rusher

Will George Holani be healthy for Saturday’s game? It’s unclear but it seems as if there’s some doubt in the air regarding the talented sophomore.

Where does that leave Boise State? Well, that means the Broncos are on their backup option in junior Andrew Van Buren who actually leads the team with 136 yards and three touchdowns on 35 carries which isn’t all that impressive, but he’s capable of big things. He’s capable of being that work-horse back.

If Holani returns, he’ll rush for over 100 yards with ease and if it’s up to Van Buren, he may need 20-plus carries, but he will reach that mark.

Either way, Boise State will have a 100-yard rusher against Colorado State.
