2. Hank Bachmeier returns, throws for 400 yards

Boise State has had some bad injury luck so far this season with guys like Jack Sears and George Holani, but the biggest letdown has been the health of Hank Bachmeier.

The sophomore quarterback showed out in the season opener against Utah State, completing 20-of-28 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns as he picked up right where he left off as a freshman. He showed no signs of regressing as a sophomore and that’s big for Boise State as I believe he’ll return on Thursday, despite there being very few updates from Bryan Harsin.

Bachmeier is going to come back to have a monster game against a poor Colorado State secondary that allows an average of over 300 yards per game.

If the sophomore quarterback returns, this offense will get back on track nicely. The team runs smoother with him under center and I see a 400-yard showing in his future.

His health is the only major if here, though.
