Which Group of Five teams could be in trouble coming into Week 11 of the college football season? Here’s your weekly upset alert.

This season has consistently seen more Group of Five teams ranked than ever before, but if they want to stay ranked they’ll need to avoid being upset. One or two losses can bury a team, never to be heard from in the rankings again.

Add in the return of the Pac-12 and there’s nowhere to hide for top-tier Group of Five programs.

There’s plenty of teams in the Group of Five who could be in trouble this week, but these are five of those teams who could be in trouble.

1. Coastal Carolina (at Troy)

The Chanticleers got a surprise from South Alabama last week, who came to the Teal Field and held Coastal Carolina to their lowest point total on the season. Now, the Chanticleers still won, and it could have been that they were just looking ahead to Troy, but they finally seem vulnerable in 2020.

Troy is a much better team than South Alabama, and they might be catching the highest ever ranked Sun Belt team on the downturn of their season.

If Troy does want to pull off the upset, it’ll need to pull it through the air. That’s the strength of their offense, and they’ll need to find a way to move the ball on Coastal Carolina.

The Chanticleers have been dominant on defense, only allowing 16.3 points per game. That strength has gone largely forgotten behind a dominant offense, but Troy will need to take on that defense to beat Coastal Carolina.
