3. UAB (vs. North Texas)

Offensive coordinator Graham Harrell and quarterback Mason Fine are gone, and it has shown. The North Texas Mean Green went from being one of C-USA West’s top contenders to generously middle of the pack.

They’ll head to UAB this Saturday to take on the Blazers, who still sit at the top of C-USA West.

North Texas, despite its losses, hasn’t been bad on offense. They just can’t overcome their defense’s weakness this season, like they used to be able to do most of the time. UAB has been solid on defense, but a little bit disappointing on offense. This means that if North Texas can turn this game into a shootout, UAB is going to struggle to keep up.

UAB is coming off two straight losses and will be feeling desperate to get going in the right direction to save their shot at a C-USA championship. If they get off to a slow start though, panic could set in and lead to an upset.
