1. Shane Buechele wins the Game on the final drive

This game is setting up to be a brilliant clash of styles where something has to eventually give out. A strength against strength football game like this should lead to a close final score, and an exciting finish to the game. After all, either one of the two should be able to neutralize each other.

It’s time for Shane Buechele to step up and win one of these close games for SMU, like Brady White has done throughout this season. In a close, late game Buechele will have an opportunity to march the ball down field to take the lead.

If he succeeds, SMU will be primed to get another shot at Cincinnati in the AAC Championship Game. If not, he can kiss any chances of the championship game goodbye.

He’s got the talent, now it’s time to show the clutch trait.
