2. A Florida hangover

More often than not, when a team wins an emotional game against a rival or a ranked opponent that vaults its standing in the national spotlight, the next game against a lesser foe is disappointing.

Florida is fresh off a huge win over Georgia in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party last Saturday, ending a three-year drought against the Bulldogs. Not only was this win big for the Gators in the rivalry, but it also improved Florida’s outlook in the College Football Playoff race. This basically took Georgia out of the running.

Also, this pushed the Gators to the top of the SEC East.

That win could go a long way and it might bring some momentum to Gainesville, but I’ve seen this movie before and Florida will likely suffer a slight setback because of a huge-win hangover.
