Wisconsin football had the last few weeks off, but you would not know it by how they played Saturday night in the Big House.

The famous slogan when it rains it pours can be used to describe Michigan football so far up to this point in the season. All week long you heard how this was a must-win for the Michigan football program.

After back-to-back losses to rival Michigan State and Indiana, they needed a win in a huge way to help get back on track. There was a huge win on Saturday between Wisconsin and Michigan, but it was not for the Wolverines. The Badgers came into the contest only playing once so far this year but beat Michigan convincingly to improve to 2-0.

How bad was it for the Wolverines? At the end of the first quarter, Wisconsin had 129 yards while Michigan had only one total yard.

Here’s another stat that any fan of Michigan is not going to want to read: the score at halftime was 28-0 in favor of Wisconsin. This was the largest home deficit for the Wolverines at the half since Michigan Stadium opened up in 1927. The second half was not much better for Michigan as they were outscored 21-11 to make it a final of 49-11.

Here are some takeaways from the game between Wisconsin and Michigan.
