3. Layoff did not hurt Wisconsin

The Wisconsin program was hit really hard unfortunately with a huge outbreak in COVID-19 cases over these past few weeks.

Since Wisconsin could not practice for a decent amount of time, you would think there would be some rust right? Nope, not for Wisconsin as they were able to move the ball up and down the field all night long.

Plus the Badgers’ defense stepped up huge and were able to force Michigan into multiple turnovers as well.

Something that’s not talked about enough is how Paul Chryst is one of the more underrated coaches in college football. Year in and year out, Chryst has the Badgers ready to go and always seems to have them competing for a Big Ten title as well.

When you look at Wisconsin, they do not get the same big-time recruits as the likes of Clemson, Alabama and others, but they are always right in the thick of things to compete as a team. Chryst finds guys that he knows will fit their system overall which is exactly what you want in a head coach.

It would be no surprise if more big time recruits started to make their way up to Madison to play for Chryst in the future.
