1. Florida is this year’s LSU

We don’t like to make unfair comparisons, but this one feels warranted. Florida is this year’s LSU, meaning that the Gators of 2020 are dominant offensively like the Tigers of 2019.

The Gators may not have quite the same rushing attack as the Tigers did because they don’t have a clear go-to back like Clyde Edwards-Helaire, but they do have a wealth of talent back there. The run game hasn’t lived up to the expectations, but Kyle Trask and the aerial attack has more than made up for it.

Florida is not quite at the level of LSU last season as the Tigers averaged over 560 yards per game and the Gators are currently at about 511. LSU also averaged 47.2 points per game and Florida is currently at 45.8. But they are both traditionally-strong defensive programs that struggled on that side of the ball.

The two teams are similar in a lot of ways and Florida fans should love hearing that because we all know how LSU’s 2019 season ended.
