Notre Dame defeated Boston College in Chestnut Hill and Miami came back to defeat Virginia Tech. How will that affect the ACC football power rankings?

Here at headquarters, we’ve seen programs struggle through injuries, COVID-19 and opt-outs. Through it all, these young men have persevered. For that, everyone is a winner. Now, enough with the mushy stuff; there are no moral victories in the ACC. It was a fairly light week as teams inch closer toward championship weekend in Charlotte.

It was a fairly light week around the conference. Notre Dame followed their victory against Clemson with a win over Boston College. Miami found a way to win again versus Virginia Tech. North Carolina won a track meet against Wake Forest. Things being equal, we seem to be headed on a collision course between Notre Dame and Clemson once again.

The question seems to be whether or not the ACC could see Notre Dame and Clemson make the national semifinal. It looks like that hinges on the Pac-12 and if they will play enough games to have a team qualify.

Get the waiter to fill your mint julep and get ready for another edition of the ACC power rankings.
